The summer period has come to an end, but our team’s work hasn’t stopped for a moment! We are delighted to present a series of positive updates:
As of July 1, 2023, Martina Bacelj has joined us, bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to enrich our team and contribute to the further development of the Association. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with Martina on a full-time basis!
You can now digitally apply for volunteering in our Association through our website – here. This streamlines and expedites the process of joining our esteemed volunteer team.
We proudly announce new partnerships with Hetzner Online GmbH and Digital Ocean LLC. This collaboration will facilitate further growth and enhancement of our services.
With excitement, we announce our traditional annual conference on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. In collaboration with our partners, we create an opportunity for candid discussions on challenges and potential solutions for the inclusion of individuals in society. Are you curious about employment opportunities or internships? Perhaps you want to learn more about student association activities? Regardless of your interests, we provide you with a chance to connect and gather information on December 1 at Kopilica 21. Join us and be part of inspiring conversations and valuable insights.
Our projects are also in full swing! Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and members, we have achieved significant progress across various initiatives:
LiberatoMap: We have achieved significant enhancements, including simplified location addition and editing within the LiberatoMap system. Mobile app performance has been improved, and we are soon to unveil a new version of the web application for another city.
LiberatoTech: Our interns have worked diligently throughout the past year. We have completed the system for monitoring and alerting related to our services. A comprehensive overview of their work can be found – here. We look forward to introducing new topics for our participants, including Postfix/IMAP service configuration and maintenance, DNS, and working with high availability clusters. If you’re interested, feel free to join us!
DisCloud: After deploying the prototype last year, we recognized areas for improvement and have already implemented changes according to our plans. By year-end, our goal is to create a new DisCloud device.
LiberatoTalk: In partnership with our collaborators, we have applied for the Ministry of Science and Education’s competition. We plan to conduct lectures on social entrepreneurship and the Business Model Canvas, along with creating a guide for high school students with disabilities in our county. This initiative aims to stimulate knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals.
With pride, we continue to collaborate with our team, partners, and community to bring about positive changes in our society. Thank you for your support, and we believe that brilliant moments lie ahead!
