3rd annual conference of the Youth Council of the Government of the Republic of Croatia

On June 26, 2023, the 3rd annual conference of the Youth Council of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, was held in Zagreb, aimed at encouraging active youth participation in society and highlighting the skills that will be in demand in the job market in the next five-year period. Additionally, emphasis was placed on involving young people in youth associations and active participation in political life.
The Youth Council at the local, regional, and national levels plays a crucial role in shaping legislation that will keep pace with rapid changes in the digital industry. Their work enables young people to provide feedback to the governing bodies to adapt the system to their needs in the job market, education system, and other important aspects of their lives.
The second part of the conference focused on the skills that will be in demand in the next five years. Among them, the following were highlighted:
- Analytical thinking
- Thinking outside the box
- Problem-solving
In the future, young people and all employees who want to progress and remain competitive in the job market will need to be prepared for flexibility, lifelong learning, and requalification.
This conference represents an important step towards strengthening youth engagement in societal processes. The Youth Council and other youth organizations provide a platform that enables them to shape the future they want to see. Their work and commitment are crucial for the growth and development of society as a whole.
